One of our great customers from VA had a feature on his Evo X from YouTube channel "Gears and Gasoline". Very well done video of the car, it was a pleasure helping Matt transform his Final Edition into something that was special to him. Link to the video can be found below, enjoy!
We had a great time today dialing in a 2015 Nismo GTR on a custom-automated flex fuel setup! The Nismo GTR is a venerable car capable of delivering lots of power with just tuning. The blue lines represents 93 octane, while the red lines represent only 55% ethanol. Regardless of the fuel type, this car only has bolt-on mods, not bad for a mostly stock $175k car! Keep in mind that these numbers are at the wheels! Flywheel numbers are of course higher.
We plan to purge some fuel from the tank to bring the ethanol content up and finish it out. We aren't necessarily looking for more power at this point on the stock bottem-end, but we do want to calibrate the remaining 90% of the ethanol mapping. We'll wrap it up with some time on the street and then put this beautiful Nismo GTR back in the hands of it's owner. Have a great weekend! ... See MoreSee Less
Had this Mitsubishi USA Final Edition Evo X stop by for some simple upgrades and a Protune from Todd. Already equipped with a full exhaust system, we added a Extreme Turbo Systems intake kit and a COBB Tuning 3-port EBCS. Tuning was performed via the COBB Tuning V3 Accessport. Solid results out of the car on the dyno after tuning was completed!
I'm sure this wont be the last time we see #0456 in our shop!
Got this beautiful 2015 NissanNISMO GTR back in for some more high quality goodies. First visit was focused on the suspension where we added the KW H.A.S coilover sleeve kit. Happy with those he decided it was ready for some more power this time around.
After going over a few options we devised a plan to max out the stock NISMO turbos. In addition to his Extreme Turbo Systems downpipes and 4" y-pipe, we added their "Street" series intercooler. Tuning will be through a COBB Tuning accessport of course and we also added a set of their Big SF intakes. We will be using their flex fuel software for tuning and got the car switched over using our own in-house flex fuel sensor kit. Upgraded the BOV to TiAL Sport Q's in red anodized finish as well on the intake side of things. Fueling we are upgrading with our go-to brands Injector Dynamics and AEM Performance Electronics. We installed a set of ID 1300cc injectors and twin AEM 320LPH fuel pumps in the OEM hanger assembly.
Looking forward to sharing the final results from this project!
Modified the downpipe on this 2013STI with a Full-Race EFR7163 stock location STI turbo kit with the addition of this electronic cutout. With the stock catback still in place to keep it sleeper status, things are going to get rowdy when this is open and the tank is full of E85! ML500+ motor, ML built heads with Kelford 220-B cams, Full-Race efr7163 turbo kit, electronic cutout, Cobb Tuning flex fuel kit, and all the supporting mods to make some jam on the dyno!
Over the weekend we stuck around to get this Mitsubishi DCT470 twin clutch transmission dropped out and ready to get shipped out to our friends at SSP for repair. Kind of like our friend with the GR6 out of the R35 GTR this one is missing some gears. Likely related to the shift fork position sensor, we will have it fixed up in no time!
Getting started on this beautiful 370z today getting the motor dropped out of the car to fit a AAM Competition twin turbo kit using twin EFR6258 turbochargers. Adding in a wideband failsafe gauge and GREDDY Profec electronic boost controller. Fuel system will be converted to a return style system utilizing a big walbro 485 and a set of ID 1000cc injectors.
Should make mid 400's at the wheels on wastegate, and do a higher boost map to get him around 525whp. These Z's are an absolute blast to drive with boost!
Mike's 03 2.0L AT WRX on the dyno earlier. He's one of our techs at the shop as well. The high line represents a change over to e85 today, low line was on 93 octane last time around. Since the 93 octane tune, Cory upgraded the valve body on the transmission. Today's dyno pulls shows a much stronger car, both power delivery and output. The e85 today was only a base map that I created. Once we tune it next week it should put down some decent power!
Aside from the valve body upgrade, he has parallel fuel rails, adjustable FPR, ID1000s adjusted to 55psi static, big fuel pump, COBB TUNING AP, external wastegate UP, and an FP Red turbo ... See MoreSee Less
