Got just a few final touches to put on this Nissan GT-R project. Finishing up the fabrication needed to complete the Full-Race twin EFR6258 turbo kit. During the install we also fabricated a new intercooler kit to match the power potential of the new turbo configuration. Next up we will be installing an Exedy twin disc clutch kit to hold the power, and from there moving on to the fuel system. For the fuel system we are keeping it basic right now as the engine is still stock. We have a Walbro 485 fuel pump getting hardwired in, an aeromotive fuel pressure regulator, and some Injector Dynamics 1000cc injectors with an HKS fuel rail.
Last phase of this project will be engine management which we will be using the impressive AEM Infinity engine management system. The same system that helped us achieve 700HP on another R32 we wrapped up last week.
With also the right parts and tuning this should be another "Godzilla" worthy build that is sure to impress!
Customer was extremely happy with the results out of the new infinity system. We will look to set-up the flex fuel system soon by adding the ethanol content analyzer to make running ethanol a seamless part of this GT-R's life.
Also in the world of Nissan today we are finishing up a set of H&R Special Springs, LP. sport springs to get this 2015 R35 GT-R a mild drop in anticipation of some new wheels. The H&R springs will provide a mild drop of roughly 0.8" front and 0.8" rear.
Got this Nissan R32 GT-R on the dyno today after upgrading the technology on this impressive old school build. Imported into the states in 2015 it ran good but had a few little oddities about it that the customer wanted to try and improve upon. Already equipped with a GReddy Racing T88 Turbo kit and HKS Co., Ltd dogbox it was ready to put some power down. Upon inspecting the timing we found some HKS Co., Ltd adjustable cam gears and a Tomei Powered Inc. timing belt. Internals are upgraded with better rods and pistons and the oil pump was swapped for the NISMO N1 oil pump for better flow.
We stepped in to update certain things on this build, primarily the engine management. Without hesitation we ordered in an AEM Performance Electronics plug and play infinity system. Fuel injector wise we opted for a set of 1300cc Injector Dynamics to give headroom for some E85 fun in the future if the customer wants to push it further. Added an adjustable Aeromotive Fuel Systems fuel pressure regulator and a XRP 71 series fuel filter to keep things clean. Last addition was a high quality Fluidampr harmonic balancer to keep the bearings happy through-out the RPM.
This one should be ripping up the streets with a awesome combination of high quality Japanese parts true to the era of the car with more modern fueling components and engine management to give the best of both worlds!
Turbo MADNESS around here since the beginning of the year with a variety of quality options getting installed for our customers. This one is for a Subaru of America, Inc. 2013 STi that we just completed a ML500+ spec short block rebuild. We just received a load of goodies for the car to help compliment the new upgraded engine. We have a set of 1000cc injectors going in from Injector Dynamics to start off with. From COBB Tuning we are using their new billet compressor wheel equipped 20G, Turbo inlet hose, fuel pressure regulator kit, and flex fuel upgrades. Outside of the impressive performance we will see on pump gas, the Cobb Flex Fuel system takes all the guess work out of running Ethanol. Soon to be dyno tuned after the new EXEDY US Stage 1 HD clutch kit is broken in!
We are your area Cobb GOLD level dealer and tuner spanning all eight of their currently supported applications. Let us know how we can help take your project to the next level with the best software and components available on the market.
NEW Release from Advanced Clutch Technology for you 2006+ WRX guys! This is exciting news as the quality clutch options are lacking currently in our opinion for guys with upgraded turbos and the push type clutch kits.
This new upgrade kit has allowed ACT to utilize a 240mm disc instead of the original 230mm included in ACT’s SB5 clutch kits. ACT’s 240mm upgrade kits provide more heat capacity, lower pedal effort, and a more efficient pressure plate design for better overall feel and drivability. By designing a more efficient pressure plate, ACT has also been able to make an Xtreme version for the WRX 5-speed applications. These Xtreme pressure plates offer 21% more torque capacity than ACT’s previous SB5 kits.
The ACT Street clutch kits combine one of the pressure plate choices with a performance organic street disc. The disc features premium organic friction materials able to withstand increased heat and abuse, steel-backed linings for highburst strength and modifications engineered for quicker shifting. The ACT Street clutch kit provides a moderate and consistent pedal feel, smooth engagement and significantly improved durability. These kits meet SFI Spec 1.1 and have increased torque capacity up to 510 ft.-lbs.
The ACT Race clutch kits combine one of the pressure plate choices with a cerametallic Xtreme Race disc, which is available in 6- and 4-pad spring-centered and rigid-hub designs. These discs are highly durable while allowing for quick shifting. The Xtreme Race discs are for high-powered engines and recommended for track use only. The ACT Race clutch kits meet SFI Spec 1.1 and are rated to hold up to 650 ft.-lbs. of torque at the crank."
Let us know if you need pricing or any additional information on these great new kit options from ACT for your 2006 - 2016 WRX!
More Mitsubishi USA Evo X action today. Getting this one finished up on the dyno after a few new goodies were installed. Previously upgraded with a Extreme Turbo Systems high flow cat and intake kit along with a COBB Tuning 3-port EBCS and a custom tune. This go around we added the awesome AMS Performance downpipe, DeatschWerks 65C fuel pump, and a CORSA Performance Exhaust & Air Intake Systems catback system. Ended up having misfires the first time out on the dyno after the upgrades so we installed some new NGK Spark Plugs and got it strapped back down for some fun.
Looking sharp with the blacked out ENKEI エンケイ RPF1 wheels!
After getting a fresh set of Work Wheels USAWORK Wheels Japan CR 2-piece wheels in 18x10.5 size we needed a quality suspension to get it looking and performing the best it could. After considering a few options we decided the ÖhlinsÖhlins USA Road & Track series coilovers were the ticket. Complete with front camber plates, pillow-ball upper mounts, damper adjustment extensions for easy access for rear adjustments, inverted monotube design, and independent ride height adjustability. Just needs rear fenders rolled and a proper alignment to finish it off!
